Asher recently graduated from Brock University, achieving his Honours Bachelor of Sport Management. After completing four summer employment terms with Marcus and Associates from 2020 to 2023, he accepted a full-time position on the team. He is looking to broaden his exposure to the business environment, with insights into the accounting, tax, business, and legal disciplines.
Outside of the office, Asher enjoys volunteering with local charities, going to the movie theatre, and watching hockey.

Debbie joined Marcus & Associates team in 2023 and has worked in both public accounting and private industry for 30 years. She is a graduate from Fanshawe College. She earned her designation in 1993. Debbie continues to strive to provide quality client services.

Bert joined Marcus & Associates in 2023, moving from administrative roles in the insurance industry. He moved to London from St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2016, and in the past has studied both textile art and theatre production.

Taeho joined Marcus & Associates in the fall of 2022. After serving in the Korean military for two years, he obtained his BA from the University of Toronto Mississauga. He then worked in HR in profit and social-profit sectors. Taeho subsequently obtained a post-graduate diploma in HR Management and currently holds the designation of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).
Outside of the office, Taeho enjoys running, visiting farmer's markets to buy fresh local produce, and spending quality time with family and friends!

Emily joined Marcus & Associates in November 2021, and is currently pursuing her CPA designation. After successfully operating a small business of her own for five years, Emily found a true passion for finance and accounting. She believes that having a strong understanding of a company's financial position through analysis of the financial statements is the key to success. She hopes to use her knowledge and expertise to bring success to businesses and individuals who possess an extreme passion for what they do. Emily has a BSc in Economics from Dalhousie University and a M.A. in Economic Policy from McMaster University. Outside of work she teaches dance classes and enjoys spending time with her family.

Kim joined the Marcus & Associates team in September of 2019. She has been in the accounting industry for many years, and has seen many tax seasons. She brings her positive attitude to the team, along with her drive to keep the flow going and the staff encouraged (and sane!). Outside of work in the colder months you can find Kim reading a good book (not the Income Tax Act), along with watching binge-worthy Netflix shows.
In the warmer months you can find her spending as much time as possible outdoors, walking her fur baby, on the course enjoying a good social game of golf, and spending time with good friends. Her passion is being a mom and watching her daughter transform into the mature adult she is becoming, with a few pats on the back to herself!

Cathy joined the Marcus & Associates team in September of 2020. She is a graduate of the Business Marketing program at Fanshawe College and has many years of experience in the financial industry. Her background includes retirement products in group and individual forums, as well as tax and anti-money laundering compliance.
Cathy thrives on long-distance runs, nature hikes and visits to the gym. Time with family, friends, listening to music (live especially) and Knight's hockey games are also favourite pastimes.

Erica joined Marcus & Assocates in 1990, and therefore has gained considerable experience in the accounting industry as an administrative professional in every aspect. Erica takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and being of assistance to anyone who needs guidance.

Jay joined the Marcus and Associates team in 2020. He obtained his CGA designation in 2002, his CA, designation in 2007 and his U.S. CPA designation in 2012. Jay also completed Parts 1 & 2 of CPA Canada's In Depth Tax Course. He has worked in public practice for 25 years and spent approximately 10 of those years specializing in Canada & US Cross Border Tax. Jay served his community as a volunteer firefighter for 12 years. Jay enjoys spending time with his family, sports and the outdoors.

Jesse joined Marcus & Associates in 2019 after working at another local accounting firm since graduating from University. He obtained his Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS) from Western University in 2014, where he was also a member of the championship winning football and track and field teams. Being a competitive individual, Jesse has channeled his experience and drive from high level athletics into his working style, and is always looking for innovative and practical ways to assist our clients in reaching their goals. Growing up in London, Jesse strives to support the local community, and is currently sits on the board of Vanier Children Services and serves as the treasurer. He qualified for his CPA, CA designation in 2014 after obtaining his Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012. Nicholas' specialty in taxation includes corporate and personal tax planning, corporate reorganizations and business succession planning.

Roch relocated to London from a national firm to join Marcus & Associates LLP in 2004 and accepted a partnership with our firm in 2010. He passed away suddenly and tragically in 2018. A consummate professional who always put family and friends first, Roch was an important part of our family who led by example and provided stellar service to our clients in English and French. Roch is missed by his wife, Jodie, their children, Matthew and Allison, his extended family and all of us at Marcus & Associates Hoare•Dalton. A mentor to many and a friend to all, we have renamed our main boardroom in his honour and are reminded of him whenever in the office.

Karen withdrew from the HD partnership effective January 2021 and continues to provide assistance and guidance to the firm. Chris joined Marcus & Associates Hoare•Dalton as a partner in 2017, following 17 years at a national accounting firm. Alex graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2010 and relocated to London to join Marcus & Associates LLP in 2011. He obtained his CPA, CA designation in 2014 and accepted a partnership position with the firm in 2021. Alex has worked extensively with many of our audit and assurance clients and enjoys working with owner managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individuals to meet their accounting and taxation needs. Alex is also involved in mentoring our future Chartered Professional Accountants as our firm's Program Leader with CPA Ontario. An avid badminton player, when not working, Alex can be found participating in games and tournaments throughout Ontario or working on his golf game at Sunningdale Golf and Country Club.

Terry graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business with an Honours degree in Business Administration and achieved his CA designation in 1980. His professional practice is focused on owner managed businesses with an emphasis on the real estate development industry, personal and corporate tax planning including estate planning. As the co-author of the Accounting and Audit Guidelines for Condominium Corporations (Nov 2001), Terry is known in the industry for offering counsel to condominium corporations experiencing legal issues. Terry contributes to his local community by serving on the Board of Directors for a host of charitable organizations.

Gerry graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors in Economics in 1969 and completed his CA designation in 1972. Passionate and energetic, Gerry has proven his expertise in the areas of financial and income tax planning for small to medium-sized businesses and succession planning.
An active member in the community, Gerry serves as a board member for Merrymount Children’s Centre and as a commitee member, participant and top fundraiser for Hockey Helps the Homeless. Don graduated from Carleton University in 1978 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce and qualified for his CA designation in 1980. Since 1992, Don has specialized in tax matters. He advises clients on personal and corporate tax matters, estate and compensation planning, as well as tax planning initiatives involving corporate reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures. In addition to his professional practice, Don is a lecturer at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Active in the community, Don has served on numerous charitable and not-for-profit boards. He is currently a member on the St. Joseph's Heath Care London board, Chair of the Lawson Research board and a member of the Canada Revenue Agency and Tax Practitioner's Consultation Group.

Marcella has been in public practice since 1986 when she earned her Chartered Accountant designation with Ernst Young and later specialized in income tax with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. A sole practitioner for over 24 years, Marcella merged her practice with Marcus & Associates Hoare•Dalton in August, 2015. Marcella brings with her considerable experience in the areas of financial and income tax planning for small to medium-sized businesses, corporations, individuals and many not for profit and charitable organizations.
Marcella has served on numerous charitable and not-for-profit boards including St. Joseph Health Care, London. She is currently the Vice Chair of London Hospital Linen Service Inc., a board member of Forest City Volleyball and a volunteer for the Sisters of St. Joseph Lay Finance Committee.
In her spare time, you will find Marcella playing volleyball, running marathons and triathlons.
